Sharp increase in sector results for agriculture and horticulture |

In 2017, the terms of trade for the agricultural sector improved considerably: the average prices of purchased goods and services increased less than the average selling prices. These developments resulted in an increase in the gross value added of the agricultural sector as a whole of 15% to almost 12 billion euros in 2017. Compared with 2016, the remaining income of the agricultural sector increased by more than 1.5 billion euros to about 4.5 billion euros. |
